Discreet Music was originally released in 1975 and marked a significant stylistic shift toward ambient music. Compared to the more traditional rock aesthetic of his previous efforts (Here Come The Warm Jets, Taking Tiger Mountain, and Another Green World), here Eno utilized a minimalist set up of synthesizer and tape delay to create the striking title track that would influence many works to come.
