The wine is absolutely fine on the palate with delicately drying tannin and a very long and silky texture

remains a Barossa Valley benchmark as well as one of the worlds leading wine estates

elegant and fresh nose blends notes of red and dark cherry with those of cassis

This balanced effort would benefit from developing better depth but that should reasonably happen

Croix always seems to produce extraordinary wines from this plot and while there is ample reduction present, it doesnt prevent the spice and floral notes from escaping the funk. The spiciness continues onto the rich, velvety and mouth coating flavors that are blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the otherwise firm tannins on the elegant, refined and beautifully balanced finish.
